Created by The Border Project for Melbourne Zoo
Launched 23.11.2012
6:30pm Thursday – Sunday
Discover your innermost creature.
Following the success of I Am Not An Animal (Ruby Award for Innovation 2012), Zoos Victoria commissioned The Border Project to create a unique interactive experience to run daily at Melbourne Zoo.
The result is I, Animal. Part interactive audio tour, part experiential event, this is a unique experience designed just for adults. Experience animal encounters, stories about the zoo and theatrical moments that will surprise, move and delight.
I, Animal uses sophisticated technology developed by Art Processors, makers of the ‘O’ device at Hobart’s Museum of Old and New Art (MONA).
Delving into the long and sometimes dark history of the Zoo over its 150 years, I, Animal draws on events that have passed, explores the nature of the zoo’s most famous (and not so famous) residents and takes the visitor on a philosophical and emotional journey into our own humanity.
I, Animal is an exclusive, Melbourne only event held daily at Melbourne Zoo, Elliot Avenue, Parkville.
